Hi, nice to meet you. I'm Meadow.
Hi. I'm Meadow
Most people seem to fall in love with the mountains or the ocean. My heart has always belonged to the desert.
I’m drawn to its life, its colors, its quietness, and most of all, its resilience. There’s something about a landscape that can look so stark and unforgiving while somehow holding so much life. That contrast finds its way into everything I make.
I’ve been drawing horses since I was two years old. They’ve always been a constant in my life—sometimes quietly in the background, sometimes impossible to ignore. Over the years, that love has found its way back into my work alongside the landscapes, wild places, and stories that continue to inspire me.
My paintings are a way of exploring that connection: between wildness and stillness, strength and vulnerability, the familiar and the untamed. I’m especially drawn to the American West—the desert roads, mesas, storms, horses, old bones, open skies, and the traces of life left behind. I’m less interested in creating a perfectly literal landscape and more interested in capturing how a place feels.
After years of working professionally in web design, UX, and branding, I’ve returned to making art full-time. That design background still finds its way into my paintings through composition, color, texture, and storytelling. I love making things, whether that means putting paint on canvas, building a piece of furniture, or creating a brand from the ground up.
When I’m not painting, I still work with select clients on web design and branding. You can find that side of my creative work at meadowhearn.com.
Thanks for being here. I hope you find something that makes you feel a little more connected to the wild. Please reach out to me with any questions or commission inquiries. I'd love to create something for you!
